Your Child’s Day

The following is an example of your child’s day. The morning outdoor time will change according to classroom.

7:00 – 9:00 Arrival – supervised play in activity centers Arrival – supervised play in activity centers from home between 7:00 and 8:00)
9:00 – 9:30 Morning Assembly (Pledge of Allegience, My Country Tis of Thee and Ameria The Beautiful) Afterwards, we discuss the day, review the social skills we are  working on, etc.)
9:30 – 9:45 Snack Time (Provided by Center)
9:45 – 10:00 Clean-up, Toileting and Hand Washing
10:00 – 10:30 Morning Circle: Weather, Calendar, Organize the day, Theme related books
10:30 – 11:00 Small group activities: Time to play in centers based on art,  seasonal activities, language development, understanding of beginning number concepts, social studies, beginning handwriting.
11:15 – 11:45 Outdoor play (weather permitting) or indoor large muscle play.
11:45 – 12:15 Large Group Special Focus Color Me Healthy or Group Music
12:15 – 12:30 Toileting and hand washing.
12:30 – 1:00 Lunch
1:00 – 1:15 Preparation for rest period (toileting, hand washing)
1:15 – 3:15 Rest period
3:15 – 3:30 Wake up, Toileting and hand washing, etc.
3:30 – 3:45 Snack
3:45 – 4:15 Outdoor play (weather permitting)
4:15 – 6:00 Indoor self directed play with teacher interaction to promote play to the next level.
